You guys are awesome with the tips!

But I really need to hear from someone who’s site went down and how the good folks at their host handled it. Because sites will go down — it’s not an issue of bad service. If you share a server and your install goes wacky, they’ll need to take down your site to salvage the others. I read that bluehost.com is wonderful about this (and then talked to their live chat to be sure) but their terms of service say, “Foul language and profanity in the site content, and in the domain name are prohibited.” So does that mean I can’t cuss on my site? I’ve cut way down on the cussing in honor of work filters but a girl wants to feel free, you know?

On the other hand, bluehost allows you free add-on domains. I paying forty bucks per right now and it’d be nice to get out of that. And they do let you monitor your server usage. And they don’t charge you if a plugin stages a coup d’etat.

I wouldn’t move Open Adoption Support though because I’m terribly afraid of moving a drupal site. Yikes. I’ll wait until I can pay someone to do it for me and make it pretty while they’re at it.

Man, do you see all those typos in that previous entry? It’s ‘cuz I was darn mad. (See how I’m practicing the no foul language in case I make the leap?)

By the way, click that pink star in my sidebar, would you? If you’re reading via feed reader come on in and click. It’s for a good cause!
