How To Know When to Stop Blogging:
Blogging isn’t for everyone, and everyone doesn’t need to blog. There are times when you should stop blogging, and there are times to take a rest from blogging.
Good advice.
In other news, the resumes are officially out and I’m hopeful. My dad (networking master to the stars) is looking out for me and so are some of my friends in high-ish places.
In other other news, the elliptical machine broke. I can’t talk about it. Please — let’s just have a moment of silence until the elliptical machine is not broken anymore.
In other other other news, tomorrow is my anniversary as a parent (i.e., Noah’s birthday but let’s face it — birth days are as much about the parents as they are about the kids). He has been on this planet for a decade as of 5:15am PST tomorrow. (He’s quoting Ramona, “Tomorrow I will be zero-teen!”) I am planning an official post after the grand event but had to sneak this in.
In other other other other news, Madison’s new response to everything, “Because I did.” or “Because I do.”
- “Madison, why did you put yogurt in your hair???”
- “Because I did.”
- “Madison, why are you running in circles screaming???”
- “Because I do.”
But you have to say it with a certain Madison toss of the hair and grin to give the full effect.

I can see the Madison attitude from here!

It was God’s will, you are meant to do yoga. Happy Birthday to Noah, I hope he will get lots of presents and have a wonderful day.

It must be an automatic response at some age because Nate started saying that at some point, and I can’t remember exactly how old he was. Either that, or it’s the genius children who say that. Yeah, that’s it. I do know how frustrating it is, though.
His wasn’t with a toss of the head, though; just a very matter of factness that drove me crazy.
May the force be with you.

a decade as a parent - have a good day! i agree that the day should be about that too and not just about the child’s birthday.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Man! and Ms. Mom! Wow. A decade…that’s a special one!

Congrats on Noah’s b’day! And so sorry about your injured elliptical machine. kim.kim is right — time to do some downward dogs!
I think that Madison’s addition of “I did” and “I do” to the end of the usual “because” is certainly a sign of highly developed debating skills.

Happy Zero-teen, Noah!

Happy early BIRTHday to you! And Happy Birthday to Noah, of course. You know, they say you are an expert after having done something after 10 years. That’s what a friend told me when Natalie turned 10 last summer. Do you feel like a mothering expert? That’s a loaded question, eh?

Happy day! Ten, wow!
Um, how long do we have to be silent for the elliptical? If you take up yoga, can we talk again? Quietly?
