I’m going to move it from the front page but the feed will remain the same — don’t worry about that. I’m going to point my dawnfriedman.com domain name here so the site is going to become my professional site and the blog will take a backseat. I’m not sure when I’ll do this or how long it’ll take but expect things to be messy in the meanwhile.
This is all part of my “Make a Living in 2007!” adventure.
I have two kids and a delightfully odd husband, Brett. My children are Noah (born to us in 1997) and Madison (born to her first mom, Pennie, in 2004 and brought to our family through a domestic, open adoption). They are my inspiration and also the reason I don't get more done around here.
I'm a writer and sometimes I get published, which is a nice thing. I write for joy, I write for money and when I'm very lucky, both things happen at the same time. My work appears in national publications including Yoga Journal, Disney's Family.com, Utne, Wondertime, Brain Child and Salon. Currently I am working on a book about my daughter's adoption and seeking representation for the proposal. I also own Smart Cookie Communications with my husband.

Hi Dawn. I haven’t ben by in a while (I’m sick, Liam’s sick, and we’ve been flat out with birthday & Christmas business), but wanted to say I love the new look. Also that you have lots more posts on the first page, so I can catch up more easily. (Haven’t read any of them yet though, and have to go get Mikaela to sleep now, but I’ll be back…).
Okay, better go pick up grizzling baby before she’s really crying.
