Happy Chanukkah!
Dec 16, 2006 Blogging
We are in a latke stupor over here.
I think this blogging-lite thing might be permanent. I think I feel mostly ok with that. I’m waiting for the blogads to stop drifting on and then I’ll remove them. (My hits are dropping like crazy so the only ads I get are the sweeps they give to every blog.)
Why I’ve gone blogging-lite:
1. To spend more time writing;
2. Because my emotional reaction to Madonna’s adoption and Rob’s enormous blunder made me realize that I have to take a step back from the craziness that is the adoption blogosphere;
3. Because Jessica is finally reading my blog and it’s made me feel like it’s all come full circle. (I’m so glad she is although it gives me stage fright, too.)
I’ll likely check in once a week or so. Who knows, I may come back in full sometime when life slows down. (Like when Madison is thirty.) I just don’t know but right now, blog-lite feels pretty darn good. In any case, if you’re on bloglines or some other rss feed service, you’ll get the heads up if/when I post.

We all need breaks from time to time. The blogosphere can be a consuming place.
Enjoy your holiday, your writing, and your family, and I’ll be here when/if you come back

SAVE ME SOME LATKES!!! I’ll be home on Monday. Oh, drool.
That said, I occasionally disappear. Of course, I’ve got a troll on the adoption blogs. Like I needed it this week. Joy.
Will you still stay in touch via email?

Isn’t Kateri nice?
I’m not that nice. Blogging-lite sucks, because you will be missed. I’m leaving you in my tabs so you’ll be checked daily . . .

i will surely miss reading your blog, but you have to do what is best for yourself.
when you had recently posted that jessica wasnt reading your blog, i wanted to say that, for some reason that he wont give, my husband doesnt read my blog either. and it bothers me.
i dont fully understand why the incidents with madonna and rob reid have encouraged you to blog lite.
none of my business, of course, but i felt that your reaction to rob had to do with other things happening in your life. (economic?)
anyway, yours is the only blog i read with any regularity, and it will be sorely missed.

Happy Channukah, to you, Dawn. I hope you don’t mind if my stupor is wine induced…
I’m glad I have you on bloglines.

I don’t get trolls, I think they are scared of me. What is blogging lite?
Ha ha Rob’s blunder or was it his attempted plunder! I know he reads my blog, goodness knows why, maybe he wants a pug.
what is a latkes?
must learn more about Jewish things, someone I am becoming good friends with is Jewish.
Season’s Greetings to you and your family Dawn.
