Uppity Women: A Feminist Magazine
I have had to reorder my priorities in the past year as I recovered from heart surgery and the subsequent heart attack. I’ve finally realized that I must put my energy into my own writing and spending time with family and friends rather than editing. It’s obvious that I’ve had less and less time to devote to running Uppity Women and I’d like to pass it on to another feminist who can take it further than I’ve had time to. I’d like to at least get back the money spent on my logo and other expenses so make me an offer and tell me what your feminist credentials are. What have you been involved in or written in regard to feminist or progressive ideals? Email me at newsubs@labyris.com and let me know what your offer is. You would have the logo, back issues (with the provision that authors may ask to have their work taken off any web page) and the domain name uppitywomen.net. I don’t want to put this up for auction because I want more of a say in who gets it. The credentials are more important than lots of money from someone without a feminist background. Yet I would like a fair price. Email me and we can negotiate. I would like to wait a few weeks and allow the news to circulate, put up some posters, and see what offers I get before I make a decision. I should add that a number of sites have linked to this one and that I am listed in Yahoo. (Yahoo is one of the more difficult search engines to register with.)
