Thanks to Jentle, I uploaded it to Vimeo. It’s the same password as for the pictures here. Click here to see it (and hear Pennie giggling like mad)! (And the quality is a lot higher at Vimeo than at YouTube.)
Now that I know how handy that is (and that our camera takes decent video), I may be doing some more of this kind of thing.
I have two kids and a delightfully odd husband, Brett. My children are Noah (born to us in 1997) and Madison (born to her first mom, Pennie, in 2004 and brought to our family through a domestic, open adoption). They are my inspiration and also the reason I don't get more done around here.
I'm a writer and sometimes I get published, which is a nice thing. I write for joy, I write for money and when I'm very lucky, both things happen at the same time. My work appears in national publications including Yoga Journal, Disney's Family.com, Utne, Wondertime, Brain Child and Salon. Currently I am working on a book about my daughter's adoption and seeking representation for the proposal. I also own Smart Cookie Communications with my husband.

Heh. Hope the $5 bill wasn’t too crumpled after the party…

It does sound like she wants to buy meat. Astrid thinks this video is attention-worthy. She gives it 6 thumbs up (because you know, babies really can’t count the thumbs they have). Please tell Madison, she’s Astrid’s favorite show!

WOW, Dawn, I totally dig the video-sharing!! Seriously, it brings to life all of what I *read* in words about Madison’s personality. Melted my heart to see such energy and glee (and squealing
) it did!
lol, and those pajamas ARE fabulous, I must admit

Love them PJs…love both their personalities…couldn’t help but laugh at Noah’s antics in the background. It was so cute how she turned to show her big brother the newly acquired 5 dollar bill….too cute.

Oh this was lovely Dawn. As David said, so nice to actually see both Madison and Noah in action. They are a cute pair.
“It’s my money!” - Already Mikaela would say that to Liam if she could (and if she had any money). Isn’t having two kids *fun*?!

(That was meant sincerely, BTW, not sarcastically. We have been having lovely days with the two of them just lately.)

But it so so much funnier if you think she’s itching to buy meat, lol.
*Hearing* Pennie & Madison together got me all teared up. It sort-of clicked on a whole new level that they *love* each other and it’s safe — Pennie doesn’t have to be afraid that you’ll feel threatened and she’ll never get to see Madison again.
I wish Barb could have that.
