Protected: My two favorite pictures
30Jul2007 Filed under: Pictures Author: DawnLast night Jessica came by last minute so D could say good-bye to Madison. I’d forgotten to get pictures of the three of them together so I handed the camera to Nate and sent him out on assignment. The four of them (Nate, Jessica, D and Madison) went to the school park just across the way so Madison could show how speedy she is on her big girl bike and Nate got my two favorite snaps there. (I’m including a third picture so you can see how fabulous Jessica’s hair is looking these days!)

About Me
I have two kids and a delightfully odd husband, Brett. My children are Noah (born to us in 1997) and Madison (born to her first mom, Pennie, in 2004 and brought to our family through a domestic, open adoption). They are my inspiration and also the reason I don't get more done around here.
I'm a writer and sometimes I get published, which is a nice thing. I write for joy, I write for money and when I'm very lucky, both things happen at the same time. My work appears in national publications including Yoga Journal, Disney's Family.com, Utne, Wondertime, Brain Child and Salon. Currently I am working on a book about my daughter's adoption and seeking representation for the proposal. I also own Smart Cookie Communications with my husband.

They are beautiful together! Is the white guy in the middle your husband? He looks too old to be Nate… Jessica’s hair looks great!

Nate’s prematurely balding — he looks younger close up! If you go back more to Madison’s birthday party there’s another picture of the three of them together.

Of course! I went back and looked again and he is adorable. They are having such a great time.
