Support Judy

As many of you know, our good friend Judy was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. This page is to support her as she KICKS CANCER’S ASS. I’m going to post Judy’s wish lists here and I hope that you’ll link on your own blog and also check in regularly to see if her needs change as treatment progresses. You can link to the site using this star:

That’s if you like images but text links work just fine, too!!!
Right now Judy asks,

~ prayers/good thoughts that the cancer is VERY receptive to chemotherapy~ prayers/good thoughts that I feel some peace and grace throughout this difficult time and process.

~ prayers/good thoughts for my Frank and Nate, to help them get through these difficult times, and the upcoming difficult times.

~ prayers/good thoughts for my family, for they are hurting a great deal because of this.

~ prayers/good thoughts for my friends and anyone who cares about me, because it is always difficult when someone you care about is going through something so difficult.

~ if people are into creative visualization, visualizing a tumor on the left breast shrinking.

~ things to help replace Nate’s angry/sad/scared feelings with happy feelings, like:
– gift certificate/cards to:
– Chuck E Cheese
– Build A Bear
– books about construction, airplanes, tractors, or monster trucks
– Sponge Bob/Square Pants DVDs
– stickers
– quarters so he can ride the rides at the mall

About Me

I have two kids and a delightfully odd husband, Brett. My children are Noah (born to us in 1997) and Madison (born to her first mom, Pennie, in 2004 and brought to our family through a domestic, open adoption). They are my inspiration and also the reason I don't get more done around here.

I'm a writer and sometimes I get published, which is a nice thing. I write for joy, I write for money and when I'm very lucky, both things happen at the same time. My work appears in national publications including Yoga Journal, Disney's Family.com, Utne, Wondertime, Brain Child and Salon. Currently I am working on a book about my daughter's adoption and seeking representation for the proposal. I also own Smart Cookie Communications with my husband.
