I ended up getting him:

  • Two t-shirts from Threadless (they’re on sale for ten bucks a pop and he’s in need of t-shirts he will deign to wear and when he does deign to wear them, he wears them over long sleeves) and while I was there I got one for Brett’s brother because that’s who I got in the family drawing;
  • Sim City for his DS because Brett wants to play it;
  • A karaoke machine because the kid likes to sing and I think we ALL will like it;
  • This pirate game and I used this code: CO1127 to get free shipping (don’t cut and paste — you need to type it in and that’s an O as in octopus not a zero);
  • Headlight for his bike;
  • Book (from my review stash).

for Madison:

  • Happy Family Twin Time dollhouse because no one cares for our lovely wooden dollhouse for which we will find a new home but Madison was all over cousin Lucia’s plastic dollhouse last month;
  • Dress-up Mice that I bought a year ago when she was too young for them;
  • Pink bilibo (and see with Madison we’re always looking at ways for her to use her prodigious energy appropriately so this is really a bargain);
  • A ladybug game;
  • Leapfrog Fridge Phonics;
  • Book (from my review stash).

For Hanukkah we get family gifts so my plans are:

  • This Cosmic Catch game (again, always happy to find large muscle opportunities);
  • Candyland (because we seem to have mislaid our old one);
  • Tin of popcorn;
  • Books (again, from review stash);
  • Something from Grandpa thereby letting me off the hook one night;
  • Something like mugs for hot chocolate and then we’ll have hot chocolate;
  • Dinner out and a movie;
  • New jammies for everyone. (I got these in blue for Noah and in pink for Madison because he’s cool but he still likes to match his sister.)
