What Noah’s doing: Taking a bath in the jury rigged “bathtub” Brett created in the basement. It is truly ridiculous but it works for the kids.
What Madison’s doing: Sniffling and snuffling because she’s snotty and because Noah won’t allow her to watch him take a [...]

He’s a whopping 11 years old now, goodness. That makes me 11 years older than 27! (Noah’s birthday — even more than my own birthday — drives my current age home.)
We’re having a low-key day having had some celebrating this weekend when family etc. were [...]

Latest blog fiasco update

I’m pointing my nameservers back to my old site. For the non-techie among you basically my domain name (thiswomanswork.com) will now take you to my old host instead of to my new host, or will at least when the internets catches up to the change. I don’t want to keep blogging here because I am [...]

Trying AGAIN

In: Uncategorized

Ok, here’s what I did on this blog:
1. Crashed it and had my account suspended.
2. Paid fifty bucks to get it back online.
3. Changed hosts for thiswomanswork.com leaving my other sites back yonder at siteground (for the record, if you’re not messing around with your site much siteground is fine but if you like to [...]

About Me

I have two kids and a delightfully odd husband, Brett. My children are Noah (born to us in 1997) and Madison (born to her first mom, Pennie, in 2004 and brought to our family through a domestic, open adoption). They are my inspiration and also the reason I don't get more done around here.

I'm a writer and sometimes I get published, which is a nice thing. I write for joy, I write for money and when I'm very lucky, both things happen at the same time. My work appears in national publications including Yoga Journal, Disney's Family.com, Utne, Wondertime, Brain Child and Salon. Currently I am working on a book about my daughter's adoption and seeking representation for the proposal. I also own Smart Cookie Communications with my husband.
