Children of the 80s, show yourselves!

Raise your hand if you danced to this song (right click to save to your computer otherwise it’ll open in a new window).

My favorite part was always “Miss Mary Mack / Mack Mack / all dressed in black!”

Jane Jane Jane Jane

Jane says, “I just put ‘Calling All Angels’ on my website for free. People have been contacting me recently wondering how the song could be sent out in a wider way in these difficult times. One person wanted to burn copies for relief workers. I said yes. Then I thought that feels so right. And better yet, if i also make it available as a free website download the gesture would be more Earth-loving with no plastic created.”

You can get your copy here. (Bonus: it’s a different version than the one on the albums I have.)

Sing ‘em to Sleep: Chicagomama

Now I know she’s a killer ladybug so I’m not trying to pawn some red thread song off on her — I actually chose this song after long contemplation because of connection but not that red thread connection.

This song has been used in a documentary about The AIDS Memorial Quilt and so when I hear it, I think of people coming together to create something beautiful. And so for Chicagomama’s growing family, I present this lullaby.
