Kim wants you to check out the The Daily Bastardette
(So do I.)
I especially love her entry on Hollywood’s take on the fallen woman.
I have two kids and a delightfully odd husband, Brett. My children are Noah (born to us in 1997) and Madison (born to her first mom, Pennie, in 2004 and brought to our family through a domestic, open adoption). They are my inspiration and also the reason I don't get more done around here.
I'm a writer and sometimes I get published, which is a nice thing. I write for joy, I write for money and when I'm very lucky, both things happen at the same time. My work appears in national publications including Yoga Journal, Disney's Family.com, Utne, Wondertime, Brain Child and Salon. Currently I am working on a book about my daughter's adoption and seeking representation for the proposal. I also own Smart Cookie Communications with my husband.

Wow! Thanks for coming over to Bastardette. I got 150 hits yesterday–the majority from This Woman’s Work! I hope to actually be “daily” soon, so please keep checking. (I’m just lazy right now). Currently I’m working on a straight journalism piece on a pedophile adopter who just got 30 years in the slammer, but I’ll continue being naughty–especially when taking on pompous ass adoption industrialists and parents who think God gave them somebody else’s baby. 2006 is the year to tip the dino!

Bastardette,
I think you will have found a true and loyal fan in me. Yes please remind people that God and adoption are very seperate categories in life. I find it hard to believe that God plans for mothers to be seperated from their children. I love this blog too, Dawn is like the bridge between all the adoption worlds.
