Madison: Do you know DW on Arthur?

Me: Yes, I think she’s kind of a brat.

Praise whatever deity you honour! I am so glad someone else thinks so. try explaining why it was wrong that Arthur hit DW when she broke his plane, and that it was also wrong that Arthur's parents did not hold DW to ANY consequences when she broke his plane. My son just went cracked when he saw that. "It isn't fair ...

Other than that, how nice to get an update on your little girl's development. It reminds me of when my child was that small -- it goes too too fast.

I personally was delighted when kindergarten day showed up. My mother was amazed how quickly I said goodbye to her. It sure was nothing like home. My daughter also went to school at 3. I think each approach has its up and downside. School definitely takes the wandering and wonderment out of the kid and replaces it with cooperation and conformity. In many instances, school replaces good thinking with bad too. Left to their own, kids are natural thinkers. School, with its emnphasis on right and wrong, often shuts the process down. In retrospect, I could not have homeschooled but I totally understand the mission to do it.
