What we did today
It was the first day this week we didn’t have to go anywhere so we stuck around home getting chores done and binging on television (the kids) so we could work (we meaning me). The kids also took time out to rake leaves and then jump around in them. And that’s going to have to work for a blog post today because I have a long to-do list!
this picture is /such/ a picture of autumnal bliss! i love noah’s orange shirt, knees into the big pile .. and madison? i gotta say that her pose in this photo seems SO appropriate given her vigour and her arms-wide-open digging-into-her-surroundings personality!
i don’t know if it’s your camera, but my gosh the place where you live still has beautiful autumn colours! where i live, we got that for about a week, where even the blue sky seemed saturated with autumn beauty.. but now everything just looks brown and dull and dead

DH and I are so homesick seeing that photo, though! I think of my childhood in Maine, and he remembers growing up in Pennsylvania, and we’re sad that our kids don’t see a real changing of the seasons out here in Central California. *sigh*
