Nervous about today
We’re going to go watch Springsteen in the Ohio State Oval. I wouldn’t be worried but Brett has to work and I’m bringing both kids (it’s history, dammit!) and the crowds — yikes! I told Noah he’ll have to help me keep Madison close by and he said, “Do you want me to find a rope so you can have like a leash?” Madison screamed, “But you will strangle me!” So that made for an interesting breakfast.
I can’t stop reading political blogs/web sites. It’s making me crazy. I’m going to have to check myself into a home for the nervous at the end of all this. (I’m swiping that line from my dad. He always says that’s where Brett should be — he says it lovingly because Brett is so neurotic.)
And now a flash gallery of pics from Charlie’s Apples yesterday. Note the close-up pic of Madison — you can see her missing bottom tooth! (I’m not sure why the pictures are a little bit squished but messing with the gallery doesn’t help so I’m leaving it alone.)

Aww, that’s such a great picture of Madison! Lena was 4 when she lost her first tooth too - didn’t lose another one for at least another year, IIRC.
Have fun at Springsteen tonight! You’re far braver than me - I’m still nervous about having Lena at a show with both of us.
She’s gorgeous…and so BIG. And who is that handsome strapping lad with her? That can’t be Noah?
Beautiful pics!!
Is there another adult you can tag with? I think it’s great that you have Noah though, that’s like having two big people with one little. I get the feeling he’s very responsible, esp re Madison.
I am SO JEALOUS of this amazing opportunity!!!
We started taking our kids to concerts when they were babies. Three days old, in fact. I’m sure it will be great fun and yes HISTORICAL.
Susan, we’re going with another family and meeting up with at least one other family there (if we can find each other!) but we all have littles so we’ll see. Madison will likely hang on tight and we do have the priority “seating” tickets. Yikes!
Ooh, have fun. I almost wish I liked the Boss so I could join in the pandemonium.
At a concert once, I sat near a family that tied helium balloons on their kids so if they got separated they could see where the kid was in the crowd. If you are really worried, it might be worth the buck fifty.
total jealous about seeing the boss. i understand the nervous, but i think his fans are a bit older and probably parents themselves, so you shuold be okay.
And GORGEOUS pics!
wait did I miss a tooth issue? What happened? lso- gorgeous pics. i love the one of her profile and all hair! pretty. Yr boy is such a handsome lad!
I went to Springsteen today with a friend. I meant to use my spare ticket with Stella, but she wanted to go swimming with her Ema. I was really wishing I had her with me, though my friend was truly grateful to see the amazing show.
About the news blog: I completely overdosed in the last three days and am imposing a “newsfast” until after this next debate. I just can’t take anymore talking heads.
Pictures are beautiful, btw.
did i say beautiful?
Aww thanks, Rebecca! I think they’re pretty cute myself.
Gorgeous smiles!
I’m envious that you apparently got to go apple picking.
