We’re going after HER pastor now

I don’t like this.

My dad says democrats need to learn to fight dirty because that’s how the Swiftboaters were able to win the last election. (I don’t know — I’m thinking Diebold machines helped out a bit. I’m just sayin’.) And here it goes: Palin’s Church May Have Shaped Controversial World View

I know we need to win this time around but I still hate that politics has to be so dang ugly. Wouldn’t it be nice to know we could just win by being (mostly) right?

Oh, I’m fine with going after him. He’s into Jews for Jesus and converting us poor unenlightened souls. (I guess we’re not ready to give up on all this, huh?)

But see, Becca, that’s what THEY say about blaming Obama for Jeremiah Wright (I’m listening to the RNC now because I’m a glutton for punishment). Now get back to writing!!!

  3. If it needs to be ugly to win, then I’m with your Dad. That article is scary, a whole lot scarier than Jeremiah Wright. Who frankly wasn’t very scary to me at all.

There is so much about this woman that disturbs me that I really have to take a day off to read it all. I just listened to her speech – snide criticism veiled in patriotism, with frequent reminders that John McCain was a POW. I had forgotten that. After hearing it, yes, I’m with your Dad. We need to pull out the stops. Nice guys finish last.

What’s happened to my democracy that was founded by a bunch of Diests who believed that God was the Divine Watchmaker who made the world and *left it alone to work*?

And why can’t we have a religion that says, “do good deeds”? Period. “Do Good Deeds.” Wouldn’t that be great? A religion that was about doing good deeds and nothing more.

    Wait. Is that Judiasm?

i’m a bit scared, since i know that ‘mostly right’ may not cut it. there are a lot of people whose reality and thought processes are so different than mine are.
i also dont like the dirty politics, and wish it could just be nice and stick to the issues. just not sure if that will work.
i’d love the level of discourse to be raised, but if that would mean losing, dunno.
