Hack hack hack
Someone tried to get into my google account today. At least I guess that’s what happened because I got a notice saying that I needed to click here to change my password and I have no desire to change my password. My password is fine, thanks.
Dang interwebz.
I’m looking ahead at a fairly low-key workweek what with the 4th rearing it’s patriotic head at the end of it. I got most of what I needed to get done today, which means I can play catch up on some other things and maybe (gasp!) even do some writing for myself. I’m also working on some minor edits for an essay set to appear in an anthology this fall/winter (not announcing anything ’til I know it’s a done deal).
Rain is good for my writing mood especially when accompanied by cool weather. Reminds me of Portland. Ahhh, that paradise of the Pacific Northwest!!

Hey - are you guys doing your usual Thursday thing this week or no because of the holidays? Jamie’s daycare closes at noon and I see a long, hot afternoon ahead of me. Am looking for solidarity.
I had someone hack my yahoo e-mail account. I’m not sure how they got my password (I think it was when I used the computer in the business center at a hotel while on vacation), but once they had it they changed things (like the name on the account), posted as me on a message board, and tried to do a lot more (because I had the same password at several different places–a very bad practice, but I didn’t think anyone would guess it, because it was so weird).
I’d recommend changing your password anyway–then deleting any confirming e-mail you might get.
If you don’t change your password, and the hacker has it, he/she may change it FOR you–and then you won’t be able to get your own e-mail!
