I just got an iPod Touch!

Brett found one on clearance and grabbed it for me. It doesn’t have the apple mail program on it but I don’t need it because I use gmail. We think this will buy me some time re., the blackberry/crackberry decision because I can check email on the run as long as I can find wifi. An imperfect solution, perhaps, but now at least I have my own iPod once again and won’t have to share mine with the annoying boys!

Congrats on the Touch, Dawn. That Brett is a keeper, eh? FYI - you can download Apple Mail (and other applications) from Apple’s site for $20.

Good luck with the iTouch Dawn. It might be just the ticket for you. It won’t give you email access everywhere, but there are lots of wifi hotspots these days, and you don’t have to pay for access this way. It might even be faster than the current iphone model, which is too too slow.
I suspect your frugal bones would have shivered at the long-term commitment of the iphone contract, in any case.

I use Apple Mail with my gmail account (my real email account, not this one that I use for blogs). But that’s because I hate webmail.
