Happy anniversary to us!
Eighteen years ago today Brett and I finished out our first date (we went out the night before but stayed up all night talking and I kissed him good-bye the next morning). Fourteen years ago today we got married.
We’re celebrating by climbing on a plane in a few hours and heading home.

Happy anniversary. My husband and I are coming up on the 18th anniversary of our first date, too. Of course, we only generally remember the month. We were high schoolers. What can I say? I never expected that dinner at Red Top Burgers (burgers as big as a plate!) and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie would be a momentous point in my life for which I would want to remember the date. Your first date sounds much more interesting.
