		<description>Ah, that's a great Maine story. I didn't realize it had made national news, but it makes sense that it did. She was the 9th child of her first parents... so I don't know about 50 being correct, but her birth mother wasn't any kind of spring chicken.</description>

		<description>That's a great article. Very balanced, I think. But, and I know this is not the point, Ms. Benoit says that her birth mother was "about 50 years old" when she was placed for adoption. 50? Was she an infant? The mind boggles. 

I thought I was pushing the edge of the maternal age issue at 41.</description>
