More on the biz cards
1. I am not crafty at all and have no interest in being crafty because, well, I find them not fun at all. Not the crafts other people do but doing them myself. Thank god my sister is an artist with a room full of artsy supplies and thank god Miss Shawnda (Shonda?) puts on great art classes. If it was left up to me Madison would never ever ever get to cut, glue or glitter. I mean she has art supplies but I never sit down and say, “Let’s do a craft!” Anymore than I sit down and say, “Let’s perform minor surgery on the dog!” (Noah takes after me with the lack of artistic interest.) The thought of sitting down and making a craft of any kind out of my business cards makes me want to kill myself. Dramatically. On YouTube as a protest against having to do crafts. (I’m only exaggerating a little. Now go click my sister’s link so you can see how she drained all the artistic sensibilities in the family by having such prodigious talent.) Oh and that reminds me that I wanted to do a post about how all I ever wanted to do is write. And star as Annie on Broadway except that I can’t sing. Fortunately I can write. So I’d say that living one dream is pretty darn good.
2. I will, however, be happy to donate said business cards to anyone who is at all crafty. (Amy, I’m looking at you!) If you can do something with a handful or two, I will be forever grateful.
3. I have decided since I’ve got a networking event on Monday and no new cards that I’ll print some of the clear labels I have with my new phone number and put those on the back. Like I said, they’re double-sided cards (I’ll upload a pic below) with the gloss that doesn’t allow for writing on ‘em. Maybe with a thin-line permanent marker but maybe not.
4. I am interested in the idea that they may be recyclable. I’m going to check on that.
The blue line on the card is where the printer cuts. I thought I edited it out but I guess not. As always, click to make bigger. (I didn’t edit out the phone number ‘cuz it’s a work number anyway and I have caller ID. Heh.
Those make me hungry.

Ah Amy, that’s so sweet but I likely won’t hang it! I have enough trouble finding room for all the art Madison DOES manage to create in spite of my artistic shortcomings!!
Dawn, I think you should glue them cookie side visible to your wall as wallpaper. (If they were scratch n sniff it’d be even better . . .) That was my plan for forty million extra community theater posters I have now moved for ten years because I can’t bear to dispose of them. (But of course I never did it).
You know that business cards are perfect for making origami jumping frogs, right?

They’re perfect for parties, and while you’re waiting for your food at restaurants, and even a non-crafty person can make them :-).

bj, I got kinda excited about the frogs but I just tried to make one — the cards are too glossy (and maybe too small so the gloss is concentrated). Still — this is how I can use up my old postcards! Thanks!!!
