My old house (emphasis on MY)
The current owner of Dawn Friedman’s childhood home recently painted the front door red. When Friedman spotted the change during one of her regular detours down her old street, she called her sister to discuss it.”We approved,” said Friedman, of suburban Columbus, Ohio. “We liked that.”Friedman, 38, and her sister, Erica DiPaolo, 40, routinely drive past their old house to relive good memories, check on the neighborhood and see what has changed.”My sister and I are kind of obsessed with it,” Friedman said with a laugh.
The writer was going to see if we could tour the house but alas, we didn’t get to. Rats. I can’t wrap my head around the thought that the current owner probably feels as attached to the house as I do, which just feels plain old wrong. Anyway. More here. And two pics of the dear old thing. (The window for my room was above the front door there.) Click to make big! (These are off the auditor’s site so not when I lived there.)

That’s so cool that you were interviewed for that article!! I’ve been back to one of my childhood homes a few times (this was a house I lived in for 5 years, from 8-13 years old). The most remarkable house of all, an old, huge house in which we lived for only two years, was torn down many years ago. Coincidentally, my in-laws lived on the very same street for a couple of years and it was quite interesting to visit them and “live” for a few days on the street I had walked everyday (by myself, at 7.5 - 8.5 y.o.) to and from school (I didn’t have to cross the street, the school was on the same side) for my first grade. It was just sad that the house was gone (the school was still there, but I didn’t go look). It was only two years, but that really house was amazing and I’ll never forget it!
i cant see any change between the pictures !
