Yesterday
Yesterday I had some people over for Hanukkah (and a lot of kids — I think they multiplied themselves because the house looks like there were far more children here than I remember seeing) and Jessica came, too, so we talked some about these posts and about the brochures I’m supposed to write (and she told me about this case).
Madison was very excited when we found out Jessica was definitely going to make it over. She ran around the house screaming, “It’s my BIRTH mama! It’s my BIRTH mama!” And then when Jessica got here she took her downstairs (to where the kids were playing) and yelled, “Hey everybody! Look! It’s my BIRTH MAMA!!!”
I learn a lot from Jessica when we talk about adoption and am sure that my education is just beginning. More than likely Madison is going to have a lot to teach me, too.
Life is interesting.
