I am LUCKY
Last night I spent three hours talking with Marley/Bastardette and Kate. We represent the triad and I’m the newest to adoption-world (and have the most to learn). I feel very inspired and slightly overwhelmed because there is SO MUCH I don’t know from practical stuff (like the history of this organization or that association) to theoretical (because I still have trouble making sense of first dad rights). I told my mom I was going to show up and listen hard and hope that some of it sinks in.
I want to write more but Madison is telling me there are monsters in the basement (actually it’s Noah thumping upstairs) so we need to go do laundry where the light is brighter.
You’re only newer than me by, what, three? Four? Months.
