counter easy hit

Yipes!

I just sent my very first html newsletter to most of my prospect list (I don’t have emails for everybody) and accidentally forgot to make my local links work anyplace besides my computer. Oops! A friend of mine caught it but not before I sent it to every single person in the whole wide world. Oops again! It looks ok and all and the important links work but my logo? Not there. And the link to view the newsletter online? Broken.

Live and learn, right? At least I know how to make an html newsletter now. (I’m so red-faced!)

Edited to add: Guess what? The tech savvy among you surely knew this already. Since my friend caught it and I fixed the page the old (broken) version I sent is the new version. I don’t know how that works but I’m just happy it does. Now I’ll sit and hope my hits over yonder go up and my assignment calendar gets more crowded and my wallet gets fatter!

A newsletter! That’s so cool! Do you give ‘em tips and tricks and make yourself absolutely vital to the success of their business?

No, I just tried to get them to hire me! You can see it here: http://www.smartcookiecommunications.com/htmlnewsletter/contest.html :)

Hey - a contact of mine just asked if me if I could recommend a good marketing/web writer, so I sent them your way. I think they thought I would know someone because of DH, so don’t be surprised if they reference my name or Jeff’s name. Anyway, maybe this will require a trip to Minneapolis! You have a place to stay and a free room, if needed.
