Adoption and bio kids

I was going to link to her today anyway but then she wrote this gem and it seemed that much more pressing: Vindauga: Just Like Me

For folks who haven’t had the privilege of knowing LisaV yet, she built her family both by birth and by adoption (both open and kinship). She adopted first, gave birth twice and adopted again. She has been a huge help and inspiration to me as we’ve worked to build our own open adoption and I think she’d be a good person to know if any of y’all have concerns about adopting and then trying to build a kid from scratch.

By the way, Noah said he is indeed game to answer questions if anyone wants him to. And if not, he’s ok with that, too. (He might also be willing to answer questions about homeschooling and virtual schooling if you want. He’s kinda into the whole idea of getting to talk on-blog and has been bugging me to build him one.)

  1. Okay, I have some questions for Noah, but about homeschooling not adoption, because the adoption stuff seems pretty straight-forward.
