I have boring work to do today

But boring work pays the bills so I’m not complaining! Ok, I’m complaining a little bit.
Last night Madison rode her big girl bike all the way to the Dairy Queen at the edge of our neighborhood and then all the way home (mostly uphill!) and that child is fast! I treated her to a dilly bar.
Going out with Madison is fun because people always turn to smile at her. I think it’s the way she walks belly-forward like she’s taking over the world. She’s all confidence. When a car stops to let us cross the street she waves like royalty after we’ve passed. I love this kid so much that I could eat her up.
I love my other kid, too, obnoxious as he is these days. He had two friends spend the night last night, which made for a lot of eye-rolling and giggling whenever another family member dared to enter the room they were in. They are too cool for us, that’s for sure. But when they want someone to make them popcorn? Or pancakes? Oh yeah, then they come running.

I can’t believe she rode all that way! And you know, I think it’s the Goodbye Girl Factor. Charisma… She’s got it!

I love her belly. I’d love to squeeze it.
I went through a bunch of my YA books yesterday and thought of Noah a few times. Does he like fantasy? I can’t remember, I remember you saying he didn’t like HP, but was that an anomaly or typical? Cuz if he likes fantasy he needs to come over and check out my old books before we have our garage sale.

Mmmm, garage sale!!!! BTW, you forgot those shorts for Jamie but hopefully next time I’ll see you I’ll have had time to get some of the winter stuff, too.
Noah likes some fantasy but if it’s anything at all slightly scary, he won’t read it. Especially if it has a scary cover. Very frustrating for me because I really want him to read The Book of Three and he finds the cover too terrifying!!

awwww, this made me chuckle! I love this. I can totally see this! She must get that confidence from both her mammas!
