[...] Dawn at This Woman’s Work. Dawn is an adoptive mom who never ceases to blow me away with her consciousness, her open heart, her open adoption, her commitment to going beyond “love is enough” and really walking the walk in every way. She recently wrote a post about her daughter’s birthday party, which was hosted by her daughter’s birth mother, and my heart just about exploded with incredulous joy. All I can say is, Dawn is really doing it. [...]

I'm catching up on your latest posts, and they are full of great reading, inspiration, and most excellent outfits. What a great party, and a wonderful way for the entire family to celebrate.

I'm also glad you mentioned the disadvantage of grandparents in the transracial/open adoption situation. I must always remind myself that my parents and inlaws haven't done nearly the amount of reading (almost none, in some cases), or talking to other adoptive families the way we have. Compassion and patience, Erin.

Also like the post on Noah's unschooling. I agree that every kid's needs are different, and it's great that you're waiting and seeing and open to change if necessary.

That's all!
