Job hunt updates
How goes the job hunt? It goes. Today is an optimistic day and that’s good enough for me. What’s really been wonderful is the outpouring of, “Hey, send me your resume and I’ll keep my eyes open” kinds of responses I’ve gotten from people (both in real life and virtual — you loving bloggers slay me with your kindness!). I really think that whatever happens, we’re going to be in a better, clearer place than we were before. I’m scared but excited.
I’d write more but the couch (and a cozy child cuddling under her blanket) beckons.
We’re in a similar situation, though a bit more precarious, because we’re still in temporary visas in this country and depend on jobs for visas, applying for residency, etc. And of course we’ve been living in a “limbo” for too long, first as students and then hubby as postdoc and I as student.
Anyway, I can totally identify and sympathize, and I hope your search goes well and that one or BOTH of you find satisfactory jobs! (and the same happens to us).
but cuddling with our cozy children under blankets makes life seem wonderful, even through our worries, doesn’t it?
