Of course, what with her millions on promised donations to the country's orphanages -- money that IN NO WAY altered her adoption process in a country closed to international adoption -- there's no reason to doubt the director's veracity. I don't think he knew the full ramifications of adoption, but he did know that Madonna would keep the child (at least for a period of time).
