The woman gets some hits! And her readers must like free stuff because they are filling out the survey in droves!

On the way to picking Noah up from self-defense I nearly wrecked the car while I thought about ways to add more categories. My plan was to start with parenting blogs then expand slowly but now I’m thinking I should at least have loose categories for other kinds of blogs. There are two reasons I wasn’t going to do that for the front of the launch:

1. Because I know enough about parenting blogs to know what rough categories people tend to put themselves in and I don’t know enough about other kinds of blogs to make those decisions;
2. I don’t read most other kinds of blogs and so wouldn’t have as easy a time of finding those writers to ask them onboard.

But I realized that I’m going to have to do some cold-calling anyway and I may as well create very loose categories and then as people fill out the survey they can clue me in on what they write about. I can’t modify the survey once it goes live (I can’t add categories or delete answers) but the software I’m using for the site is pretty flexible and I can change it as I figure things out as far as categories.
