There are people surfing in here from four conversations on various adoption discussion boards. (I can see it in my stats.) And of course when I see a bunch of people coming in from a particular url, I go see what the heck is going on so I’ve been reading the responses (and in one case participated in the thread). I wanted to address some of the thoughts that have come up on the threads without “outing” anyone in particular. It’s going to be fine (eventually) if nerve-wracking. I’ve been talking about quitting for like two years now and thought I was fired when the company changed hands. I was happy at first when it looked like I was keeping my job but then I started the arduous task of training new bosses on how to handle my telecommuting status and it’s just too hard.
New starts are always scary.
