A work in progress

Here is my links list so far. It’s ok but the categories are static so to put them in alphabetical order means I’d have to delete and refile them and I’m too lazy for that. But it annoys me. Know that I am annoyed yet lazy. (Story of my life.)

Now I need your help.

I’ve been adding people in bits and pieces and so there is no rhyme or reason to who got added and who didn’t. I’ve switched browsers and bloglines and kinja numerous times and read people in different places. I’ve just added as I went and so many of you aren’t on here. What I need from you is this:
–Your blog address and request to be added;
–What category you want to be in;
–What category additions you want listed after so people will find you.

If you’re already on there and I filled you out wrong, let me know. There are still many of you to be added but my typing fingers are tired. Expect this to take awhile.

Even if no one uses this link list (I’ll add it to my sidebar when it’s more complete) at least it will up google rankings.

edited to add: I will NOT be hurt if you think I put your blog in the wrong place. I didn’t put every blog on adoption in an adoption place — some of them are more parenting or more writing, etc. I may have made mistakes putting you one place when you’d rather be another. I may also have made mistakes by calling attention to one issue but not another. Say you are a gay dad who writes and I put you in parenting but you’d rather be in writing and have the “gay dad” category not added. Just let me know, dearest people, and I will fix it like you’d like it! Also if you do a lot of cooking or gardening or watching movies and want that mentioned, tell me!

    I’d like to be added under adoption reunion if possible, or adoption reform although my blog takes distance from politics and focuses on reunion issues for other mothers like me.

    Thanks for doing this and thanks for including me! I am looking forward to reading some new blogs you have here that I hadn’t yet discovered.

    I don’t have my links separated into catagories for some of the reasons you mentioned. I am too lazy, mainly, and also I just can’t figure out how to catagorize most of them. Just as you said, if someone is a writing mom with opinions/activities/interests, which catagory?

    Another thing though; after I think about it a lot. I don’t want to do that work for my readers. I don’t want to tell them who is a lesbian/Christian/firstmom/adoptive parent/teacher/librarian/writer/wild card. Let them browse the list and figure it out for themselves. Maybe they will stumble across something new, just as I have in studying other blog’s link lists.

    So now I just have my blogroll in order of recent updates. No catagories. Much simpler for me and leaves room for serendipity.

    Could you add me? If you want to:

    I’m not sure what category I’d come under anymore…I’m not certain how much more I want to write about our adoption; I guess parenting would be best.

    I’d also be honored for an add. :)

    I see bloglines is screwing with my head and I didn’t even know about this post until 5 minutes ago. Such high expectations we have of our computers, no?

    I’d like to take credit for inspiring you, but actually I’m making a blatant call out. How does it feel to be pimping? I guess it doesn’t help when I add a comment to a post from 2 days ago. *sigh*

    OH! And congrats on the 5-year-name-registration thingy! You be my her-o.

  17. Nicole Says:

    Oh, Dawn… thank you for the link. I truly feel honored.

  18. Kay Says:

    I’d love to be added - I guess under parenting would be best, with fertility/infertility and writing as extras. I wish I could say feminist too, but I probably don’t really write much that would qualify me…

    Thanks :)

  19. Sarah V. Says:

    Oooh - am I too late to be added? I’m in the parenting category, not having done anything else interesting. Mostly controversies in parenting, with occasional stuff about actual parenting.
