My new/old look

This blog looks like my old blog, which is funny because that was totally accidental. I based the colors on a swatch from Retro Depot Fabrics that matches my retro (i.e, bought at a garage sale for $20) aqua couch and then lightened all the colors a whole bunch. I also added widgets to my sidebar (you can’t see them but they make it easier to install and uninstall things) and also tags so there’s a small but burgeoning tag cloud going on over in the sidebar. (I don’t really want to to go back and tag my entire archives — I wish there was a way to tag by group.) Speaking of archives, this is my archives page and this is my new browse by category page. I did this because 1) it’s pretty and 2) there’s some error making it impossible to browse my blog via category otherwise. The “previous posts” link only works occasionally and no one — including the guy who designed this template — can figure it out.

Speaking of templates, the guy who did this one has done a whole bunch of simple, easy to modify themes and they all seem to be widget-friendly, wordpress 2.0 compatible. And they let you pick how many columns you want within the theme, which is really useful.

Just so you know.

  1. Is there anyway to have your new posts show up next to your middle column, instead of under? It’s a little weird to open it from blogllines and there’s no post. Because I seriously needed to gripe about something…
