Mix Tape: Comfort (2 of 6)

Songs to download are below the cut!

  • It Won’t Rain All the Time — Jane Siberry
This is the song that made me a die-hard fan of Janes forever and ever amen.
The Crow: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

  • Somewhere a Star Shines for Everyone
From my growing collection of lullabies comes this Bjork-like prettiness. (Weirdly, lead singer Karen Peris is from Lancaster, PA and not some far-flung country — I have no idea why she sings with an accent.)
    Now the Day Is Over
  • The Healing Room — Sinead O’Connor
Oh there are so many Sinead songs that make perfect sense on these CDs! Expect her songwriting to show up in the next batch of songs and another tune will start out the Strength CD.

    1. oh! i like Jane Sieberry as well. “teenager” spent a long time as my “driving to the shore” music…

    2. I had forgotten all about that Jane Siberry song…I think my crow soundtrack was on cassette. Something to put on the itunes list.

I wrote Sinead off a long time ago. Time to take another listen I guess. The Lion and the Cobra will always be my favorite though.

    3. question ? not sure how to do this.. but was wondering if your responded in the past to infertility ?

    4. The Innocence Mission is currently in my favorite band in the entire world. I don’t hear an accent, oddly enough…maybe I’ve spent too much time listening to Natalie Merchant.
