Wordpress hates me

No, seriously. It does. It forgot all of my passwords. And I always have to click refresh because it loads blank pages.

Work was kind of hellish today (and would have been impossible without the brilliant, the kind, the stunning Paige) and I’m tired. I’m going to take a bath and then replace nose to grindstone ’til it’s bedtime.

Jessica got a job kinda close to us and hopefully this means we’ll get to see her more! Hooray hooray!! She came over twice in the past week, killing time pre- and post-interview. Madison was very happy to see her and they went to cook in her toy kitchen and she showed Jessica her handy pooping-on-the-potty skills and did tricks on the swing. It’s nice to see Jessica casually — I loved having her drop by like that.

Speaking of transracial adoption, which we kind of were although not really, the membership chair of my local mochamoms chapter called to follow up. I was waffling but I’m totally joining now. She and another mom are putting together a homeschool co-op and that would be incredibly wonderful. They’re talking weekly and that’s a lot for me (especially because we also want to be part of the unschooling co-op near us) but I really hope it falls together. I was babbling on the phone because we were talking about diversity and homeschooling and I think I sounded like, well, like a white liberal trying really hard to get it right (i.e., a bit silly but well-intentioned) and totally cliche but then I realized that I am a white liberal who is a bit silly and well-intentioned and better we get that out right up-front so they can decide whether or not to put up with me. I hope for Madison’s sake they will. (They are awfully nice but I am awfully silly.)
