I think my essay is almost done

I’ll need to look at it again tomorrow and I still need an ending, a vignette of some kind. It’s so hard to get one right without turning maudlin.

J is coming over tonight and I asked her to read it; I’m nervous. It made Brett cry (well, swallow hard and blink a lot) and even though we’ve talked about these things I think that reading it is different. I also gave her a pseudonym in it but she can veto that or give herself another one as she sees fit.

I’m very nervous. I hope she likes it. I hope it doesn’t make her want to kick me in the shins.
