Delurking day

I’m sorry I didn’t get around to all my blog reads today but I read enough to know that it was delurking day (or week?) and I’m not doing my part by delurking.

I read a number of you in rss feeds. This is so I can scan a lot of blogs in very little time but unfortunately I don’t always get to comment. I know that many of you don’t comment here so that’s ok, I understand. This is one of the hardest things I find about this new era of blogging (versus way back when) — keeping up with the social obligations.

There are also blogs I don’t comment on out of respect for those blogging. This includes some birth/first mother blogs. I understand that an adoptive mom might not be a welcome visitor there and so I respectfully absorb what you have to say but won’t chime in.

But I want to thank you all for the community we’ve created and know that when I see my rss feeds blip on (they update once a day at some random time) I am antsy about getting through my daily reads. This whole blogging thing — it’s pretty amazing.

    Delurking day?

Allow me, then, conformist that I am, to delurk here and wish you a belated happy birthday. 36 was a great year for me and I hope you have an amazing year yourself.

    Be well.

Do you ever hesitate to post on my birthmother entries?!? Don’t do that!

Indeed, the communities of the blogosphere are wondrous and delightful.

As a mom who sometimes considers the possibility of adopting, and often wrestles with questions of harmonizing my motherwork and my otherwork, I enjoy reading your blog.

Delurking-been reading you for a long while. Don’t think I’ve commented, thought.

Just a little late to the delurking game. I’ve been reading your blog for years via rss. I just love your writing. On the surface, I would say that I’ve got very little in common with you, with the exception of mothering, but I’ve found that even though those surface things aren’t similar, I share alot of your points of view and I love reading and being educated about the others. And then yesterday I found out that we share the same birthday! So a belated happy birthday from a mom in Colorado who loves to read other well-written mommy blogs as a break during the work day!

Hi, Dawn! De-lurking to say: Happy (belated) birthday!
