I try to tell him that the cleaners aren't there to pick up toys, laundry, and dirty dishes. They're there to sweep and mop the floors, scrub the toilets and showers, wipe down the mirrors, and dust. I don't mind doing the surface cleaning. It's the deep cleaning that I hate! I find myself doing this too, cleaning for the cleaning people! It drives my husband crazy. If I'm up cleaning until 2am the night before they come, its not really worth spending the money ($25-$35 per hour in my area). I suspect they are moms who want to be home when their kids get out of school and some of them have tattoos. We have them come every other week, but I think even once a month would diminish my messy house stress.
