Oh dear, both kids are sick
I just sent an email to my family to let them know the Hannukah party is canceled. We’ve been bouncing this cold back and forth between them and this morning finds Noah feverish and threatening to throw up. (Madison woke me up yesterday by throwing up on me.) I have a sore throat, too, come to think of it.
I hired a babysitter yesterday. At least I think I did. I’ll know if she calls me with her available hours next week.
I was afraid I was going to scare her away by bursting into tears and throwing myself into her arms. I’ve been feeling a little hemmed in by being stuck inside with two sick kiddies since Christmas.
I’m only hiring her for four to six hours a week and I’m going to use that time just for writing — no work, no errands. I hope this works out.
