Once again, my email isn't letting me reply....so here I am lol.

We are with Adoptions of Kentucky. We're a little irritated with them, since they've 'promised' us a couple of birthmothers already, only to never hear from them again, and to hear from them we have to chase them down. :/

Anyway.

I think I'll post on adoptions.com - this facilitator in no way is overpriced, and the owner is an adoptive mother of 3. She seems super sweet *I know we could take that with a grain of salt*

I don't think facilitators are illegal in Kentucky, I'll have to check with that. Also, they offer 24/7 counselling for birthmothers, which I thought was a good sign.

Thanks for your input!

I have a question for you:

We contacted an adoption facilitator (we thought they were an agency) a couple of weeks ago. Origionally we weren't going to go with them....

then they emailed Meagan about a very sweet birthmother who is to give birth to a cc/hispanic baby girl in Feb....very open to same sex couples (her sister is gay)...

My question is this - did you use an agency or a facilitator? What are your thoughts about facilitators as an adoptive parent?
