I've just written letters to both my senators. I'll remind myself to give money again in a month (big old notes on the calendar). I'm waiting to figure out what needs to be done in two months (besides give more money) because if this is our emergency plan when Something Bad Happens, we are in Big Heaps Of Trouble. (I'd give blood except I lived in the UK for too long at the wrong time, and they won't take it anymore. I'd send stuff except it's just as easy for me to write the check. And I feel guilty for finding getting to the shipping center so overwhelming.) I’m giving money. I’ve just written letters to both my senators. Threw in a baby sling and my Maya Wrap, which I never learned to use anyway. It was the only thing I felt good about all week. I'm cussing out the president every time he appears on my tv. And I'm writing a letter to my US Senators to tell them to vote against cutting the estate tax (or any other taxes) until the extent of this whole mess gets sorted out. I gave money.
