I’m not furious. I never had any hope that anything would ever happen to Rove while W is in office. I’ve long since accepted that they are all a bunch of warmongering lying hypocrites, and I say this without any emotion whatsoever. I’ve become too cynical even for anger, which I suppose is sad in a way.
As an aside, I’ve never really understood the “but we thought Iraq had WMDs” defence of the press for supporting W’s war. Even “I” knew there weren’t any, and I knew this long before the first bomb dropped. How? By keeping up with the foreign press. French, English, German, Russian newspapers gave a far better analysis of current available intelligence data than the syncopathic American media.
The Downing Street Memo merely confirmed what I’ve known all along - that W was always determind to go to war, and was simply making up excuses as to “why” as he went along. Such is the world we are living in. *shrugs*
"Deliver me from writers who say the way they live doesn't matter. I'm not sure a bad person can write a good book; if art doesn't make us better, then what on earth is it for."
How about it! Jeebus.

Yep.
I’m mad too.
Not surprised, but darned mad.
