Would you be totallly anon like getupgrrl - or just use first name like some other bloggers?

If I had it to do over again? Hmmm. You know what? I guess I’m grateful the decision has been taken out of my hands.

I guess my feeling is that I have nothing to be ashamed of and the things I write about are things I would discuss with most folks so I would likely write under my own full name anyhow. My biggest concern is that I’m underestimating the possiblity that I’m compromising my or my family’s safety. Color me naive, but I don’t worry about it that much.

I think what I would have done differently is not put as much stuff out there pre-blogging. If you know my old email addresses, you can stalk me really easily from before I had Noah (and even through my efforts at conceiving Noah). Being a master stalker myself, I’ve checked it out and come across posts I’d rather I’d never sent. Let’s just say that I’ve grown a lot in the past decade.

Over at Suburban Bliss, Melissa has said she doesn’t say anything on her blog she wouldn’t say to someone’s face. I think that’s a pretty good ideal.

I have never read anything on your blog that I would think was offensive to someone in your personal life. Unless you are best friends with Bush or Rumsfeld. Those two might be a bit tweaked about some election posts. However, if they love your writing like the rest of your readers, they will get over it.

There isn’t much I say online that I would’nt say to people’s faces. However, I think that there’s a certain level of fear for me anyway, that people can get stalkerish.

I’ve got kids, my husband has a very political job and I write a lot of sexual material, I like the moat I’ve built around myself but I don’t doubt for a minute that someone could find me if they wanted to.
