I'm not upset at her but odds are that I will NOT be pregnant and she would be setting Ky up for a big disappointment or just more discussions as to why the baby didn't come. First it was the "I want a baby black like me" and the explanations as to how we couldn't produce one. The next was "well, if it going to be white then it *has* to be a boy" and the explanations as to how we have no control over that. There are days I think I should not even be trying as it would be so much simpler for her...I worry that she will resent not having anyone else in the family (not necessarily true as my brother in law and my good friend are both black but still) that looks like her.
