I’m right; My stupid RE was wrong

WebMD - Miscarriages Linked to Heart Disease

After adjusting for other known heart disease risk factors, such as high blood pressure and the mother’s age, the researchers found that women with three or more early pregnancy losses were more than twice as likely to develop heart disease as women who had never had a miscarriage.

See my RE kept saying that there was nothing wrong with me except that I wasn’t getting and staying pregnant. I knew — I KNEW — that infertility was just a symptom of a whole system problem; that was so obvious to me. Now I actually don’t have the antibodies mentioned later in the article but I would still argue that losing a bunch of pregnancies is not the sign of a healthy body working at its optimum level. I’m also not insulin resistant (another risk factor for heart disease) but just because they haven’t found my particular answer doesn’t mean there isn’t one.

Ok, I’m going to put down the donut down and go for a run.

(Not really. I don’t have a donut and I’m too busy today to run but I am running tomorrow and I will likely not have any donuts before I go.)

  1. Grrrrr–people as parts. I freakin’ hate that about medicine. And I don’t understand how they can continue to act as if that were the truth despite all the evidence to the contrary.
