Clomid flashbacks?
So how long do the effects of clomid last? Clomid actually acts on the brain (how scary freaky is that?) and I’ve been told by other people who’ve used it that it takes time for the effects on your brain chemistry to diminish. (Doctors, on the other hand, to whom I have spoken downplay the side effects completely. You know us women, all hysterical and stuff.) Anyway, I’m having flashes of that extreme moodiness although Brett says I am much more sane than I was when actually on it.

Speaking from my experience, I agree with you! I was on Clomid alone for 3 months and the Clomid/progesterone combination for two months. I ceased all meds in July and I am still not back to my old self again. It is very frustrating to have doctors tell you that the meds “shouldn’t have anything to do with that.” Oh really? Taking hormone altering drugs for 5 months shouldn’t have a lingering effect on my mood. Hmmm… okay. At least the panic attacks I was having have decreased. Thank goodness for small favors!
Clomid is, for me, anti-Prozac.
And yet I’m going to start up on it again in a few months. Gah.
This is good to know. When I’m still going through raging mood swings two months from now, I won’t have to wonder what’s wrong with me.
