Oh what a beautiful morning!

I just got done running. I’m only running about once a week (if that) and then doing step aerobics to Madonna twice a week. Noah comes out and dances, too, so a good time is had by all. I wish I could get comfortable running with the jogging stroller but it’s too awkward for me.

Noah is reading! He read the first four Bob Books yesterday! He was trying to read Hop on Pop and couldn’t do it so I thought to hell with it. I went and paid $17 for the damn Bob Books because I knew he would be able to read them. He was so proud!!! We went out for ice cream to celebrate.

He called my mom and read the book to her and then he stomped around the house saying, “I’m learning!” Later I said that when GramPam comes home (my inlaws have been on an Alaskan cruise for a month) she’s going to notice how much taller he is now and he said, sagely, “And much more impressive.” But the most hilarious thing about his reading is that he reads with feeling. He reads “Mat sad. Sam sad.” with terrific empathy and “OK, Sam. OK, Mat. OK, Cat.” with tremendous cheer.

By the way, this week’s column at Myria is one that I particularly like.
